Observations from the long part of the trip

1 You can cover a lot of ground at night.

2 Gas prices were about $3.65/gallon from Missouri to Nevada.

3 Construction is bad around Indianapolis.

4 St Louis Arch looks cool at night - Evan was mad I didn't wake him up to see it or stop and wake everyone up.

5. Tracker Bass boats are made in Lebanon, Mo.

6.  It is REALLY HOT in TX and Nevada.

7  There are lots of windmill farms in TX an NV.  They are cool to look at and go on for miles.

8  Drove by Joplin, MO.  Only signs of the devastation were road signs giving instructions for which exits to use for relief workers.

9. 70 and 75 mph speed limits are cool

10. 35 mph or higher crosswinds in TX really kill your fuel mileage and make it hard to maintain a speed at 80 or above.

11. Having internet in the car helps pass the time.

12.  You can stop at any redbox, get a movie and return it in any state.  Certainly a good deal for $1!!
