After good night's sleep, spent a couple of hours hiking in the canyon. I've only drive through it before, so first time for all of us. Only words to explain - awesome, breathtaking, and pictures never do it justice! Would like to go back and spend more time - hike across both sides, ride the donkeys, go whitewater rafting, helicopter ride, etc. Looks like you could spend a week there easy to do the whole thing. Was real nice to get out an hike and very proud of the Soph who made it down and back up without whining. Back in the van, and another 8 hours we arrived in San Clemente, CA. For some reason this leg of the trip went by pretty fast. Went across Death Valley - amazing how much barren land there is out here.
All in all, the kids were awesome for being the car that long. I'll try to get up to date tomorrow.
